Medical billing and coding involves assigning a proper code to patient diagnoses and requesting payment from insurance companies. With this Certified Medical Billing and Coding Specialist program, students will gain the requisite skills needed to enter one of the fastest-growing fields in allied health. This includes gaining hands-on, practical experience working with the main coding manuals in the field. Students will also master the legal, ethical, and regulatory concepts that are central to this field. Upon completion of this program, students will be prepared to take the Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) national certification exam offered by National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
