This certification validates that an individual has the skills and knowledge to successfully complete process planning, basic chucking applications, machine set upts, operations, inspection techniques and safety standards. Completion of course requires the creation of a project part that complies to the tolerancing required on the project engineering drawing and passing associated knowledge exam. This will allow students to earn the NIMS Machining Level 1 Turning 1 (Chucking) Credential.
The prerequisites for this class are: Job Planning, Benchwork & Layout (JPBL) and Measurement, Materials & Safety (MMS), Drill Press (DP).
