Course topics include specifications and QC/QA testing. Intended audience is field personnel directly responsible for control, placement and testing of asphalt as well as Construction Inspectors, Senior Construction Inspectors, Consultant Construction Inspectors, Senior Consultant Construction Inspectors, Materials IA & QA personnel and Permit Inspectors. The class will be mandatory for the Paving Superintendents and Density technicians. CALCULATOR REQUIRED. Exam required for certification. No proficiency required.
This is an online Canvas course. The test is an online VDOT Materials Certification Exam within Canvas and testing will occur at VCCS community college testing centers. Course may be taken consecutively with the Asphalt Field Level I class.
