Students entering the Level 1 HVAC class do not need prior industry experience. Students also do not need to be currently working for an HVAC employer to start this program. The program is structured as a hybrid class, with a combination of both classroom with lecture and hands-on lab training, as well as online content. Many students successfully work full-time and part-time while attending the program.

The Level 1 class introduces students to the following: Introduction to the HVAC Profession, Copper\Plastic\Ferrous Metal Piping Practices, Soldering, Brazing, HVAC Trade Math, Basic Electricity, Introduction to Cooling, Introduction to Heating, and Air Distribution Systems.

Textbook is included for the course.

Prerequisite REQUIRED for class: Core Craft Skills
