This interactive class will show students how to scan, test, hack and secure their own systems. Students gain in-depth knowledge and practical experience with the current essential security systems.   This course teaches the student to understand and know how to look for weaknesses and vulnerabilities in target systems and uses the same knowledge and tools as a malicious hacker, but without doing real network harm, to assess the security posture of target systems.   Among other things students will learn how intruders escalate privileges and what steps can be taken to secure a system, about Intrusion Detection, Policy Creation, Social Engineering, DDoS Attacks, Buffer Overflows and Virus Creation. Upon completion of this course students will be equipped with the knowledge and skills they gained from having hands on understanding and experience in Ethical Hacking and be ready to sit for the EC Council CEH Certification exam (312-50).
