This IT Essentials/A+ course is currently offered online, with rigorous student participation and includes virtual simulation lab access.  The course follows the updated CompTIA’s A+ Exam Objectives for Core 1 and Core 2, and covers 9 skills that the student should master: Hardware, Operating Systems, Software Troubleshooting, Networking, Hardware and Network Troubleshooting, Security, Mobile Devices, Virtualization and Cloud Computing, and Operational Procedures.  After completing this course and applying the knowledge and skills gained, the student should be well prepared to sit for both Core 1 and Core 2 exams.  

The tuition includes: 2 exam vouchers, lab access key, and e-Book.  Please note:  The exam voucher must be requested within 45 days of completing the course and no refunds or credits will be issued to any student for unused or unissued vouchers, or for any other out-of-pocket expenses. 

This course will be delivered via Zoom and Canvas LMS, and will include Cengage A+ lab and other assignments as determined by the instructor.

Prerequisite REQUIRED for class: Prior to registering for A+, all students must have obtained their ITF certification or be recommended by their Germanna instructor after successfully completing the ITF course that the student is ready to proceed to A+.
