This class serves as the foundation to all NCCER trade programs.  Structured as a hybrid class, a combination of on-line training and live classroom/lab training, students learn the necessary basics to start a career in any skilled trade. Students also do not need to be currently working for a trades employer to start this program. Many students successfully work full-time and part-time while attending the program.

Topics covered in this class include Basic Safety, Introduction to Construction Math, Introduction to Hand Tools, Introduction to Power Tools, Introduction to Construction Drawings, Basic Communication Skills, Basic Employability Skills, and Introduction to Materials Handling. 

Textbook and access to OSHA 10 program is included with the course.
