Machining Skills Credential Program - FF

Our Machining Skills Credential Program is designed to train students to earn credentials from National Institute of Metalworking Skills (NIMS).  Onsite training is held at the state-of-the-art New Pathways Tech Machinist School on the Carver Center Complex in Rapidan. The emphasis of all the courses is to produce precision machined parts using both manual and CNC (Computer Numeric Control) machining equipment and to train to earn additional NIMS credentials.
Students in the program will earn Industry recognized certifications: 
  • GCC Certification of Completion
  • OSHA 10 Safety Certification
  • Four National Institute Metalworking Skills (NIMS)
              - Machining Level I – Measurement, materials and safety
              - Machining Level I – Job Planning, bench work and layout
              - Machining Level I – CNC Milling I
              - Machining Level I – CNC Mill Programming Setup & Operating

Enrollment is on-going and students can begin at any time upon approval of instructor.  This course is part of the Workforce Credential Grant program; discount will be applied at checkout when purchasing this class.  Additional scholarships are also available; please contact Ben Sherman (bsherman@germanna.edu) for more information.
