This important class will help prepare you for success in the field of health care, both in the classroom and in the work environment. This class is required for individuals applying for admission to Workforce non-credit Phlebotomy, Clinical Medical Assistant, Physical Therapy Aide, and Medical Office Assistant programs. Completion of this course is part of the health care program admissions criteria. This class includes: (a) an overview of the health care profession, including program requirements and expectations for student success; (b) the program application process; and (c) an overview of important safety procedures including blood borne pathogens. Students are encouraged to complete this course well in advance of the start date of the health care program they wish to apply for, as class size is limited and priority is given to those who fully meet application guidelines and apply early.
