Students have 20 weeks to complete the program.
 

This is a six-week course broken down into two parts. The first part is web-based and self-paced.  Topics include the basics of Blueprint Reading, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance, Quality Control, Machining Processes, Machine Setup, CNC Machine Operation, Precision Measurement and Gauging, and Cycle Time Optimization. Each mod­ule is tested. The second part covers more in-depth knowledge of Measurements, Materials & Safety including the use of Precision Measurement Devices and Material Designation. This will allow the student to earn their first National Institute of Metalworking Skills Credential - Measurement, Materials & Safety. The second portion of the course will be held in person.
